I fished the shallows, drop offs, and structure using clousers and small shrimp patterns. Got a few bumps on the drop off, otherwise nothing.
I did land some small tailor and my first ever Sydney snapper while trolling a hardbody. |

| Fished a dirty harbour after heavy flooding in Sydney. Water was cleaner towards the mouth. Lots of bonito chasing baitfish in the shallows. Go my first ever Australian bonito on fly, which was great fun. Also picked up some tailor in both deep and shallow water. |

| Two nice tailor landed in Fisher Bay. Casted at bust ups on the surface, and hooked into the fish almost immediately. Earlier in the day I picked up a few squid on jigs near Balmoral. |

| Fished the Lane Cover river from 10am - 2pm. The water was very dirty, however I'm not sure how normal this is, since this was my first time fishing the venue. Since there had been significant rainfall in the preceding days, I'm assuming it was dirtier than normal. Fishing was slow at first, but I got into some nice fish mid afternoon. It's worth noting that I stuck to surface flies, just because I love it (and slightly due to the poor visibility in the water). |
| 10/10/2020 | Middle Harbour | WazzyP | | Launched from the Tunks Park boat ramp at 7am. Fly fished the Tunks Park area, as well as under Spit Bridge, Clontarf, and Chinamans Beach. Not even a bump on fly. Got a few tailor trolling a Daiwa Double Clutch behind the kayak between spots. |

Did see some surface action but couldn't entice anything to the fly. Also tried flicking some soft plastics with no luck. |
